Jacques
Cousteau knew a thing or two about diving and when he
proclaimed that the spectacular coastal waters of Vancouver Island
and Nanaimo are … ‘the best temperate water diving in the world
and second only to the Red Sea’ … you'll know that when you Dive
Vancouver Island you’ve been to one of the world’s top destinations.
And YOU
have confirmed what Jacques knew! Rodale's
Readers’ Choice Awards have consistently ranked British
Columbia as ‘the’ best place to dive in North America! Your choices
for the 2001and 2002 awards show that our spectacular diving and excellent
value have propelled British Columbia into North America’s premiere
dive destination.
Craig
Willemsen, President of Silent World Diving Systems in Bellevue
agrees! " My business conducts SCUBA diving travel all over the
world. We travel to the South Pacific, The Caribbean, and many other
exotic destinations, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest. Of
all the destinations we travel and lead trips, my favourite for
groups is Nanaimo!"

marine life you want to encounter, how about Giant Pacific Octopus
and magnificent Six-Gill
Sharks. Or frolic with resident Wolf Eels and hundreds
of playful Harbour Seals. Drift through stunning gardens
of colourful Kelp, Anemones and Sponges. Descend
